KO-PACK 26” 650 Film Printing Press

INNOVATION

The diversified packaging market creates ever-greater demands on your production to meet customers complex requirements. The ever-increasing numbers of shorter runs are challenges to your cost-effective and just in time production. With STEALTH Ko-Pack re-invented and re-defined the innovative package printing with its All-in-One-Pass-Technology. We believe this offers significant competitive edge in the strongly contested packaging sector market.

ALL-IN ONE-PASS-TECHNOLOGY

16 color GearlesSleeve flexo printing press offers - Front and reverse side printing, Pollution-free water-based ink or UV flexo inks, Solvent-free laminating, Inline silicone coating, Gluing, Die-cutting, Inline slitting, UV curing, Hot air drying, Non-stop production with Flying splice and Turret rewind. The STEALTH CI GearlesSleeve machine is available in two web widths; 650mm (25.6”) and 1250mm (49.2”), for shrink sleeves beverage labels, folding cartons, corrugated inline board and other related products.

PRODUCTIVITY

Now you can produce small print jobs economically. The entire function of the servo-driven printing units (plate cylinder, anilox roll, register and pressure adjustments) allows dramatically reduced change-over times. For repeat jobs, a few inputs through the operator console can reinstate previous press set-up conditions reading data stored on a memory card. Aided by the sleeve cylinder system, operators can change sleeves without using tools on the machine. This results in enormous time savings and thus to high production efficiency, even in small production runs.

FULLY-AUTOMATED OPERATION

All make-ready and print operations for the 520 are done through its servomotor drives, controlled by integral computer programs accessed through an operator-friendly touch screen. Former-roller settings, impression settings, registration setup-all are accomplished with a series of finger touches. During printing, printer drive servomotors, main drive servomotors, ink duct and distribution servomotors all are synchronized to deliver uninterrupted integrated printing, curing and diecutting.

SERVOMOTOR DRIVES THROUGHOUT

Traditional gear drives have been replaced by AC servomotor drives throughout the Ko-Pack 520, in print stations, main drive, ink duct and distribution, unit movement, etc.. The removal of wear in cams and gears extends the wear life of the press and reduces the need for drive maintenance. The main AC servo features a harmonic differential gearbox which compensates by varying drum circumference speed with materials of different thickness, ensuring accurate register control. Servomotor drives on the printing station ink ducts and trains keep the ink train motion extremely accurate and extremely quiet. Even after millions of impressions, the 520 will run quietly and with precision, with minimal maintenance.

FAST, SIMPLE MAKE-READY

Computerized controls and servomotor drives throughout the press combine with removable sleeve capability to give the quickest make-ready available today. High-pressure air assistance lets operators mount plated sleeves in seconds, and LCD touch-screen control adjusts registration, former roller settings and impression settings equally quickly.

SERVO MOTOR TECHNOLOGY

The entire STEALTH control is based on the implementation of the intelligent servo motor drivers with a virtual drive gear concept and high-speed communication link that updates location status of all motors. Using servo driver technology, we support the entire press controls with incredible resolution of pulse-to-pulse electronic gear, sectional tension controls. User-friendly operation software only requires simple parameter inputs to handle all control aspects. You can also memorize job set up data for future retrieval in seconds.

FLEXIBILITY AND ECONOMY IN PRODUCTION

Infinite variable repeat capability. Virtual electronic gear and incredible digital pulse resolution of servo motors can realize print repeat exactly as you desire that mechanical gears cannot achieve. This function now provides you the long sought-after infinite variable and flexible adjustment of the repeat length according to the specifications of the master packaging design.

KO-PACK 10” 250 and 15.7” 400 Standard Presses

First the Ko-Pack 250. Now the Ko-Pack 250 and 400. After we have set the standard, we keep raising them.

In 1977, for the first time in the world, Ko-Pack created the 250 rotary letterpress machine, which gave more quality and was superbly engineered.

It quickly became the top selling label press in the world and set the standard by which other presses in its class would be compared and judged. But no other machine could be a Ko-Pack 250. No other there is, until Ko-Pack Introduced the efficient 250 FR 10" Press, which gives complete non-stop-production.

To the proven styling and engineering of the 250 machine Ko-Pack have added even more standard features. Like automatic flying splice unwind, turrent rewind and continuous waste rewind, low temperature UV for heat-sensitive materials. These have set standards in the narrow web press industry

These units can also be configured to print on different materials to cater for different industries, including laminate tubing and meat casings.
